The Finca

The Accommodation

The finca is a 2 storey restored farmhouse. The interior of the house is open plan and the sumptuous, colourful furnishings from India, Africa and Turkey reflect the owners extensive travels.
There is a log fire in the entrance area for cooler months when there is also the option of underfloor heating. All rooms benefit from air conditioning.
The sitting area has 2 comfortable sofas, a 40" wall mounted television and blu-ray dvd player, as well as a Bose Ipod sound dock system. Internet broadband access is available.
The kitchen is equipped with appliances to satisfy the most discerning cook, including a Bosch range cooker and dishwasher, Magimix food processor, Kenwood mixer and large Bosch fridge/freezer. The dining area of the kitchen accommodates 6-8 people and is situated in front of a window with commanding views of the landscape beyond.
A separate utility area houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and additional sink. Off this area there is also a cloakroom with handshower facility.

Bedrooms

A short staircase leads to the first floor where the accommodation comprises 3 double bedrooms with luxuriously appointed en suite bathrooms. All bedrooms have quality English mattresses and fine Egyptian cotton sheets and towels. The bedrooms have balconies with lovely views and bedroom 3 benefits from an additional roof terrace. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned.

Housekeeping

The house is cleaned halfway through each rental week. Further housekeeping facilities can be arranged directly with the housekeeper at an additional charge.
Meals can be ordered in advance of your stay and during your stay. If you are interested, please request a list of meals available.

The Finca Grounds

A short track from the road leads to Finca las Encinas which nestles in the hills surrounded by holm oaks overlooking the surreal and astonishing landscape of the Torcal National Park and the Sierra de las Cabras.
Eleven acres of private land including olive and almond groves surround this beautifully restored farmhouse.
Extensive terracing around the house is beautifully lit by night. Sweetly scented Jasmine has been planted on the banks which border the terracing. The covered dining terrace table can seat up to 10 people and the entrance courtyard terrace also has a table which seats up to 6 people. A large top of the range gas barbecue is available for guests' use.
A beautiful 10m x 5m swimming pool has been built into the mountainside at the foot of the olive grove and has stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Behind the pool, banks of Rosemary, Thyme and Lavender have been planted. It is accessed by a short pathway edged with silver leaved Teucrium leading up from the house. A saline system has been installed and the pool can be heated upon request at an additional cost. The pool is equipped with comfortable, contemporary sunbeds and large parasols. Pool towels are provided. The area can be lit by night.
